Protesters Fill Minneapolis U.S. Bank, City Hall Over Working Conditions

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- More than 300 protesters took over a U.S. Bank branch in the skyway of the company's corporate headquarters in downtown Minneapolis on Wednesday.

The lunch-hour protest by several different community groups was designed to call attention to what they call poor working conditions for hourly workers at U.S. Bank and other businesses. The protesters then marched to City Hall. Officials estimated about 350 people attended Wednesday's event.

The group says they support a Congressional proposal that would address scheduling and other concerns of hourly workers. A U.S. Bank representative said the group delivered a letter to bank management and it "was graciously received."
