Prince's Engagement Ring, Stage Outfits Up For Auction

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Those seeking to take their Prince fandom to the next level have a chance to own the legendary Minneapolis musician's worn stage outfits, a sheet of handwritten lyrics, and even the ring he used to propose to Mayte Garcia.

A memorabilia auction with 95 items is open until next Thursday. However, fans looking to nab up items that once belonged to the "Purple Rain" creator will at least have to drop $1,000.

The lowest minimum bid in the auction is on china saucers from Prince's 1996 wedding.

The priciest bid in the auction is for a diamond engagement ring that Garcia, Prince's now ex-wife, put up. The minimum bid is $100,000, and included with the ring are handwritten romantic notes on pink, heart-shaped pieces of paper.

Other items in the auction include a Gibson acoustic guitar Prince used to compose early songs, several fluffy scarves, and rhinestone handcuffs used on stage.

As of writing, there are no bids on any of the auction items.
