Police: 3 Treated For Possible Drug Overdoses At MOA

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Three adults were treated for possible drug overdoses at the Mall of America Friday night, according to authorities.

Bloomington police responded to an unconscious 34-year-old man in the South Food Court just before 8:30 p.m. While medics and police attempted to resuscitate him, a 35-year-old woman who was with the man also began losing consciousness, police said.

Authorities determined they were possibly overdosing on a narcotic. Both regained consciousness and were transported to Fairview Southdale Hospital.

Just after 8:30 p.m., a state trooper requested assistance from medics and police for a person he had pulled over. That person was also treated for a possible drug overdose, police said.

Bloomington police said they cannot confirm if these cases are related to the six overdoses that occurred in Anoka County Saturday.
