Pool Closes For 24 Hours Following 'Fecal Release'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It's every pool-loving child's summertime nightmare: "accidental fecal release."
That's the phrase officials in Bloomington used to explain why the Family Aquatic Center closed on Tuesday, a day when highs in the metro reached close to 90 degrees.
Officials said the "release" was not solid, and could not be just scooped up out of the water. As a result, the pool area, which features water slides and diving boards, had to be super chlorinated, resulting in a 24-hour closure.
The pool is slated to open again on Thursday.
