Residents Using Yard Signs To Support, Raise Money For Police

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Twin Cities are seeing more signs of support -- literally, signs.

Some residents in St. Louis Park have put up yard signs that say "Thank You SLP Police Department," and residents in Edina have been displaying the sign "We Thank Our Edina Police Department."

John Shaminer has a sign in his yard.

"I have no objection to any other signs, but I think that, you know, if you get kicked around a little bit, you need somebody to tell you they support you," he said.

The signs cost $5 to $6 each, with proceeds being donated to the police departments. Click here for information on signs for St. Louis Park, and call 952-215-6932 for info on Edina signs.
