Woman's Purse Stolen After She Loses Consciousness, Later Dies
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Brooklyn Center police say a purse was stolen from a woman after she lost consciousness at a laundromat Tuesday evening and later died.
According to Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon, Kimberly Elgren-Rheault lost consciousness at the laundromat located off of Bass Lake Road. She was then taken to a hospital where she was treated and subsequently released.
During the course of the investigation, police discovered the woman's purse was taken by an unknown individual.
The woman later passed away at her home Wednesday.
Family members say they want their loved one's belongings back, saying they don't want the money, but there are mementos they'd like, as well as the contacts and photos in her cell phone.
