Police: Woman Assaulted Near U Of M, Suspect Sought

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – University of Minnesota Police are looking for a suspect after a woman was sexually grabbed near the campus on Sunday.

Police said the incident happened at about 4:15 p.m. near the area of Delaware Street and Huron Boulevard. As the victim was walking home, the suspect approached the female victim from behind and grabbed her breast on top of her clothing.

Authorities said the suspect then quickly released the victim and fled the scene. The victim was not hurt in the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male between 20 and years old, about 5 feet, 5 inches to 6 feet, 1 inch tall with a medium build. The man was wearing an orange and white striped shirt and a black baseball cap. The victim told police she believes she saw the man drive past a short time later in a red or maroon colored car with several stickers on the back.
