Police: U Of M Student Molested While Walking Home
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are investigating after a female University of Minnesota student was allegedly molested Friday evening while walking to her home near campus.
According to police, around 9:20 p.m. the victim was walking to her home near Fulton Street SE and Ontario Street SE. Upon reaching her building, the victim said a man, who she believed was following her, reached out and grabbed her butt over her clothes.
The victim then screamed and slapped the suspect's hand away.
Police said the suspect immediately ran away.
The woman was not injured.
As the attack was a surprise, the victim could only give a limited description of the suspect.
Police said he was described as a white male between 18 and 40 years of age. He was wearing a red polo shirt, tan shorts and a dark colored baseball cap.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
