Police: U Of M Student Assaulted, Robbed On Campus
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A University of Minnesota student was attacked and robbed on campus late Friday night.
According to police, the incident occurred around 11 p.m. on the Williamson Hall Plaza.
Police said a group of four males approached the victim from behind as he was walking north on the plaza.
One of the suspects struck the victim and the four suspects then demanded the victim give them his valuables.
The victim gave them his wallet, phone and headphones, and then the suspects fled west on Pillsbury Drive then north on Pleasant Street.
The victim's tooth was chipped when he was hit. There were no other injuries.
According to police, officers stopped four juvenile males two hours after the attack that matched the description given by the victim.
Three were arrested but one of the suspects feld.
