Police: 'Suspicious Package' Found On UW-La Crosse Campus
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police are asking people to avoid a section of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse after the discovery of a suspicious package Tuesday afternoon.
The area between 15th Street and Pine Street has been blocked off and a bomb squad has been called in to investigate.
People have been evacuated from Angell, Drake, Hutchinson, Valhalla and Wentz halls, and the Rec Center and Whitney Center are both closed.
Anyone who has seen other suspicious packages is asked to call University Police at 608-789-9999.
