Police Seeking Dogs After Jogger Bit In Chanhassen

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- City officials in Chanhassen are looking for two dogs after a female jogger was bitten earlier this month.

Authorities say the incident happened April 16. A female resident of Chanhassen was running on a paved path on Pleasant View Road near Timber Hill Road. She was approaching two men walking their dogs, a yellow/golden lab and a 20-pound chocolate colored dog of an unknown breed. The 20-pound dog jumped up on the runner and what was thought to be a scratch turned out to be a bite.

Authorities are looking for the owner of the dogs and their vaccination records to avoid rabies shots.

Anyone with information about the incident or who knows the dogs or their owners is asked to call Haley Mattila at the Carver County Sheriff's Office at (952) 361-1231.
