Children found, mother arrested after alleged abduction in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS – Police say a woman accused of abducting her two young children Tuesday in Minneapolis is in custody, and her kids are safe.

The 18-year-old mother allegedly left a court-ordered supervised visit with her 3-year-old and 1-year-old. They were last seen at about 3 p.m. leaving the Cedar-Riverside light rail station near Currie Park.

Wednesday morning, the Minneapolis Police Department said the children had been found, and the mother is being held at the Hennepin County Jail.
