Police: Man, 27, In Custody For Stalking, Burglary
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in St. Cloud say a 27-year-old man is in the Stearns County Jail after allegedly stalking a woman, entering her home and threatening someone.
The St. Cloud Police Department says Gilbert Samson Garcia is in custody in connection to a series of events that took place on Friday night.
Police say officers responded to a stalking and burglary complaint on the 500 block of 9th Avenue South just before 9 p.m. When they got to the scene, they determined Garcia had entered a female acquaintance's home without permission and threatened another person.
No one was hurt during the incident.
Just after midnight, police say they found Garcia near Lake George. He allegedly led police on a foot chase, but officers were able to arrested him.
Garcia is currently being held on charges of stalking, burglary, assault, fleeing police, and possession a controlled substance.
