Police: Jeep Smashes Through 2nd-Story Garage, Lands Nose Down
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Brainerd police say an SUV smashed through an apartment's second-story garage and landed nose first on a ground level driveway Thursday afternoon.
According to the Brainerd Dispatch, police said a Brainerd man unfamiliar with the vehicle accidentally pressed the gas instead of the brake, causing the Jeep Grand Cherokee to crash through the back of the garage, fall to the bottom level and hang with its back wheels still on the upper level of the garage.
Police say the man was safely taken out of the Jeep in less than 10 minutes.
The vehicle was then lifted back up into the upper garage and stabilized.
