Officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the torso and rendered aid to him until medics took him to the hospital, where he later died.

Investigators are working to determine what led up to the man's death and who is responsible. They are hoping surveillance video from the area can help determine what happened.

The medical examiner identified the victim as Abdullah Arif, 48, of Stillwater.

An arrest was made Friday, police say. WCCO does not name suspects until they are formally charged.

This is the city's third homicide of the year.
