MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Hastings Police said a 34-year-old man was shot to death Sunday night, and they are still seeking information on a suspect.

Hastings Police were called at about 9:56 p.m. to the 1200 block of Eddy Street on a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found a white male in his 30s dead in a yard from an apparent gunshot wound.

Authorities identified the victim Tuesday as Jason Charles Reuter of Hastings. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner said he died of gunshot wounds to the head and neck, and his death was ruled a homicide.

Police said no suspects are in custody, but there is no danger to the public. They are working with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to identify a suspect, and what led up to the incident remains under investigation.
