Police, FBI Looking For Suspect Following Maplewood Bank Robbery
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Maplewood are asking the public's help in finding a man who robbed a Well Fargo Bank Monday afternoon and may have robbed other metro banks in recent days.
The suspect robbed the Wells Fargo on the 2900 block of White Bear Avenue just before 2:30 p.m., the Maplewood Police Department said.
The man demanded money from the teller via a note. He did not brandish a weapon or imply that he had one. He ran from the bank with an unspecified amount of cash.
Maplewood police say they are working with the FBI in trying to figure out if Monday's robbery may be connected to other recent robberies in the metro.
The suspect is described as standing 6-feet tall, weighing around 210 pounds and being 35-45 years old. He was wearing a navy blue shirt with light colored pants and a dark baseball hat.
