Police: Car Crashes Into Living Room Of Apartment In St. Cloud

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A car crashed into the side of an apartment building in St. Cloud, Minn. Sunday evening, according to St. Cloud police.

According to police, officers responded to a call at 10:21 p.m. that a car had crashed into an apartment building in the 1400 block of 12th Avenue North.

Upon arrival, officers found 24-year-old Aliya Ali Mohamed, of St. Cloud, had crashed his car into a lower level apartment.

Police said Mohamed had crashed through a wall and into the living room area of the apartment.

The residents of the apartment were not in the living room at the time of the crash.

The apartment building was found to be structurally sound after the crash, but the living conditions were found to be unsanitary so the city health department was calle.d

Mohamed sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
