Police: Burnsville Woman Drove Intoxicated With Child In Car

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 25-year-old Burnsville woman was arrested early Sunday in western Wisconsin for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Authorities said the incident happened at about 12:16 a.m. on Interstate 94 in St. Croix County. Officers were called to a vehicle that had spun out and stopped in a lane of traffic on eastbound I-94 in St. Croix County. When they arrived, a plow truck was on the scene protecting the area from traffic.

Officers determined the woman, identified as 25-year-old Kayla Mae Huesman, was under the influence of intoxicants and arrested for operating while intoxicated with her 4-year-old son in the vehicle. The child was put in police custody until a relative could pick him up.

The incident is under investigation.
