Police: Brief Gasoline Leak Prompts Evacuation At Life Time Fitness
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police in Eagan say a brief gasoline leak has prompted an evacuation of a fitness center Monday afternoon.
According to police, the leak was located in the Life Time Fitness parking lot.
Police say the gasoline pipe has since been shut off, but that Life Time was evacuated. Magellan -- the gas company -- reported Monday evening that around 500 barrels of gasoline poured out of the leak in the incident.
The area -- including a section of THomas Center Drive by the gym -- will remain closed until it's deemed safe, police said. They expect cleanup to last well into the night.
