Maple Grove Police Assisting Investigation In Racist School Vandalism
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Maple Grove police say they are assisting in the investigation into racist messages written in a Maple Grove Senior High school bathroom.
On Wednesday, a vandal or vandals wrote racist messages inside the school's bathroom. "Trump" was written along with "whites only" and "white America." The vandal also used an expletive with the "n-word," and other racist terms, on the bathroom stall.
A school representative says the racist messages are a horrific act and an investigation was launched immediately by the school. The school is working collaboratively with Maple Grove police, too.
"This type of behavior is highly offensive, will not be tolerated and does not reflect the views of the Maple Grove community," police said. "This is an active investigation. Please have patience as we work through this challenging process."
