Police: 2 Hurt In Brainerd Shooting, Suspects At Large

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two suspects are at large after two people were injured in a shooting in Brainerd early Sunday night, according to police.

Authorities said the incident happened at about 5 p.m. at an apartment on the 800 block of Juniper Street. When officers arrived, they learned that two people had been shot in the head.

Officers located a 31-year-old woman who lived at the apartment and a 31-year-old male who were both suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported by ambulance to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd before being transferred to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

Authorities said the conditions of the victims are not known at this time. The female victim was conscious and talking, but the male was unconscious.

Police say they are looking for two men in connection with the incident. They are identified as 23-year-old Tyler Allan Cronquist and 26-year-old Nathan David Becker, both from the Brainerd area. Cronquist is described as a white male about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. Becker is described as a white male, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Both men are considered armed and dangerous, and anyone who sees them should all 911 immediately. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is providing assistance in the case to Brainerd Police, Baxter Police, the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
