Police: 1 Hurt In Bloomington Shooting Near Hotel

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police said a 21-year-old man suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot Thursday morning in the parking lot of a Bloomington hotel.

Authorities were called at about 1:45 a.m. to a report of shots fired at the Country Inn and Suites parking lot near Killebrew Drive and Old Shakopee Road. When officers arrived, a man had suffered a gunshot wound to his leg.

The man was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. While investigating the incident, police found a car in the parking lot with its back window shot out.

Police said the incident does not appear to be random and the people involved might have known each other. Authorities said no arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.
