Police: 1 Dead In Hastings Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a man was found dead after an apparent shooting in Hastings Sunday night.

Hastings Police were called at about 9:56 p.m. to the 1200 block of Eddy Street on a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found a white male in his 30s dead in a yard from an apparent gunshot wound.

Police said there were no other injuries and the incident appears to be isolated. The name of the victim has not been released. Hastings Police Chief Bryan Schafer said they are investigating the man's death as a homicide, but have limited information on a suspect. Police said the person fled after the shooting.
