People Gather Outside Fairgrounds To Remember Philando Castile
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Just outside the State Fairgrounds Monday, people rallied to remember Philando Castile and others who lost their lives in police-involved shootings.
About two dozen people lined Larpenteur Avenue near Castile's peace garden.
In July, St. Anthony police officer Geronimo Yanez shot Castile during a traffic stop along that road.
The group says they do not want people to forget about what happened to Castile.
Another group is planning a rally to protest police killings this Saturday. It is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Snelling Avenue and University Avenue.
