MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A trucker arrested for DWI last month in southern Minnesota had 19 open beer cans in the cab of his semi.

The State Patrol said Tuesday that the arrest happened on the afternoon of Jan. 20 on Interstate 35 south of Medford. Drivers had reported seeing a semi swerving all over the highway.

When a trooper stopped the semi after seeing it cross foglines, 19 open beer cans were found in the cab. One of them was under the driver's seat.

Four unopened beer cans were also found.

The driver was arrested for DWI. A breath test came back with a blood alcohol content reading of 0.21, which is over twice the legal limit.
