Patrol: Paramedics Injured After Ambulance Rolls To Avoid Furniture

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two paramedics are recovering Sunday after rolling an ambulance in Edina to avoid furniture that had fallen onto the highway.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday along Highway 100 south of Vernon Avenue.

The State Patrol says there was not a patient on board at the time.

The driver of the ambulance swerved to avoid a piece of lawn furniture that had fell out of the vehicle in front of them.

That caused the ambulance to roll on its side.

The paramedics with Edina Fire Rescue suffered minor injuries.

The State Patrol said the vehicle that lost the furniture did not stop.
