Patrol: No One Injured In Fiery Crash On I-35

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two semis and a car were involved in a fiery crash Thursday afternoon on Interstate 35 south of the metro, officials say, and no one was injured.

The crash happened on northbound I-35 near Owatonna, Minn., just before 4 p.m., the Department of Transportation said.

The northbound lanes of the interstate were closed south of Owatonna, so that the State Patrol could investigate. The northbound lanes opened to traffic late Thursday night.

The State Patrol says the crash happened when a semi, driven by 32-year-old Ronald Dickson, of Florida, rear-ended a car, pushing it into another semi.

The two semis then started on fire.

No one was injured in the crash, the State Patrol said, but the vehicles were destroyed.

There was also a 7-year-old passenger in the semi driven by Dickson.
