Osakis Public School Closed, Students Evacuated Due To Bomb Threat

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- All students at Osakis Public Schools were evacuated and school was canceled for the day after a bomb threat was sent via email Thursday morning.

Local law enforcement and firefighters conducted a search of the building, but no suspicious items were discovered.

Osakis police said Thursday afternoon that the email was sent in from out of state, and there was no indication that an actual device was inside the building.

An investigation is ongoing, through police do not think there is a threat to the public or to Osakis schools.
