Orono Home Destroyed By Fire, No Injuries

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say there were no injuries but an Orono home is a total loss after a house fire Tuesday night.

Crew were called to a house fire on the 3200 block of Casco Circle after a caller reported flames shooting about 30 to 40 feet high from the home. The flames could be seen from two to three blocks away.

When crews arrived, the home was engulfed. Authorities said nobody was home at the time of the fire. The homeowners had moved into the house about two weeks earlier. Fire crews said the home is a total loss.

Fire officials said the cause of the blaze is under investigation. The extent of the damage is still being looked through, but the home was valued at about $1.5 million. The Long Lake Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Hennepin County Fire Investigation Team.
