Olympic Skier Nick Goepper Visits Afton Alps
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Olympic slopestyle skier Nick Goepper won the bronze at the Sochi Olympics and Gold at the 2013 X Games.
He did some skiing at Afton Alps Saturday before hosting a Q&A session with young skiers and riders.
While he's skied all over the world, he was impressed with the new terrain park.
"I'm obviously a big advocate of terrain parks and keeping all of the kids out on the hill," Goepper said. "I love it. A bunch of rails, a bunch of jumps. Lots of fun stuff to do."
Goepper also did a little showing off for the kids, showing them some tricks and flips.
He said it was fun to come back and hit the hills with kids who were hungry to get better at the winter sport.
