Odds Favor #1 NBA Draft Pick For Minnesota Timberwolves
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The NBA conspiracy theorists will have a field day Tuesday night if either the New York Knicks or, worse, the Los Angeles Lakers get the #1 pick, saying the lottery is rigged.
How many times have we heard that?
The Timberwolves have the most ping pong balls, a 25 percent chance of getting the top choice.
There are two players atop every mock draft you look at.
One of them is 19-year old Jahlil Okafor, who helped Duke win the national championship in March. At 6 feet, 11 inches, Okafor has the potential to be a devastating inside scorer.
The other is center Karl-Anthony Towns from Kentucky, a superior defender and rebounder who can also score.
The Timberwolves can draft no lower than 4th, and they have a 35 percent chance of getting that pick.
The NBA Draft itself is June 25.
