NWS Issues Fire Weather Watch For Parts Of Central & Southern MN
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A fire weather watch has been issued for parts of central and southern Minnesota.
According to the National Weather Service, the watch will be in effect from noon Friday through the evening. It was prompted due to low humidity levels and strong winds.
Southerly winds of 20 mph with gusts of 25 to 30 mph are expected in the afternoon. Humidity is expected to be at 25 to 30 percent.
The NWS says any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly, so outdoor burning is not recommended.
