Norwegian-American Reality TV Show Hosting Casting Call At MOA
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Calling all Scandinavians!
Do you have any Norwegian in you? Have you never been to Norway? Would you like the chance to win $50,000? Well, now might be it!
"The Great Norway Adventure," or "Alt for Norge," is looking for contestants for its latest season in the Twin Cities area.
On Sunday, Nov. 8 O'Connor Casting Company is holding an open call at the Mall of America
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. show off your Scandinavian at the Executive Center for a chance to be part of the cast.
To be eligible contestants must be a descendant of Norway, even if it's just the tiniest bit. They must never have been to Norway and must be a U.S. Citizen that is at least 18 years old by Feb. 15, 2016.
The show, which has twice won the equivalent of an Emmy in Norway, has often been compared to "The Amazing Race." It follows 12 Norwegian-Americans as they explore Norwegian culture and compete in various challenges.
The winner receives $50,000 cash and gets to meet Norwegian relatives they didn't know they had.

Taping will be from late April to July in 2016. Contestants must be available for two – 10 weeks to travel abroad.
