1 Killed, 1 Hurt In North Minneapolis Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police have responded to reports of a shooting in North Minneapolis Friday morning.

According to police, the incident happened at about 11 a.m.

Officers responded to a home near the intersection of 36th Street and Lyndale Avenue.

"Preliminary investigation indicates there was a dispute between known individuals, and at some point shots were fired," Minneapolis Police Sgt. Darcy Horn said.

Horn said that one man died in the incident, and another individual ended up at North Memorial Medical Center with injuries.

The preliminary investigation suggested that the two men knew each other and that the shooting incident was the result of a dispute.

Police said they were not seeking any other individuals in the incident.

Neither victim has been identified yet.
