No One Hurt When Car Strikes Moorhead House

MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) — Moorhead police say no one was hurt when an 80-year-old man drove a car into a house.

Police say the Moorhead man was backing out of a driveway late Monday morning when he says his foot got stuck on the accelerator. The car struck another vehicle in the driveway, crossed the street and struck the front steps on the house before ending up in the living room wall.

Three people were in the room but were not hurt. Police say the driver declined medical care.

The wall had major damage. The house will be checked to make sure it's structurally sound before the family returns.
