Canadian Pacific Train Derails In Plymouth

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- No one was hurt when a Canadian Pacific train, with some cars containing molten sulfur, derailed Sunday afternoon in Plymouth.
City officials say 22 cars went off the tracks at about 1 p.m. at Northwest Boulevard near Schmidt Lake Road. Cars were also holding asphalt and lumber, but there were no reported ejections, spills or leaks.
Canadian Pacific officials say air quality testing hasn't detected any harmful levels in the area so far, and crews will be "working around the clock" to remove the fallen cars and lay new tracks.
