NEXT Weather: Metro to enjoy beautiful Tuesday; air quality alert up north
MINNEAPOLIS – After a #Top10WxDay, expect more of the same Tuesday.
Expect sunshine and a big warm-up Tuesday that puts highs in the Twin Cities near 80.
An air quality alert is in effect Tuesday, between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m., for the northern half of the state due to wildfire smoke blowing south from Canada.
Wednesday looks pleasant as well. Clouds will increase from west to east, and we stay warm with highs in the mid-70s.
Thursday is the wet day, with a line of showers and isolated thunderstorms passing during the day. The severe threat is low, but it will be a raw day with highs in the low 70s and stronger winds.
Showers clear out Friday, but it stays breezy and cool. The weekend looks quite pleasant for a change, with sunny skies and temps near average.
