NEXT Weather: Thanksgiving week looks mostly sunny, quiet

NEXT Weather: 10 p.m. report

MINNEAPOLIS – We will have a nice combo of sunshine and temperatures warming above freezing the next few afternoons – which will chip away at the 2 inches of snow currently on the ground in the Twin Cities.

Tuesday's high will be in the upper 30s, with sunshine returning by afternoon.

We'll stay in the upper 30s Wednesday, but with a partly cloudy sky. The roads will be great for local travel.

Our next chance of precipitation falls on Thanksgiving Day. It will be light, with the possibility of some patchy drizzle mixed in with a few flakes later in the day.  Highs will be in the mid 30s, so expect wet roads.

We'll dry out Friday and into the weekend, with highs in the upper 30s, which is about average for this time of year.
