NEXT Weather: Sunny, warm fall Monday, with evening storm chance
MINNEAPOLIS — Following a relatively nice fall day, Monday night will feature some summer-like thunderstorms.
Storms are possible late Monday night, with a slight chance of severe hail in southeastern Minnesota, including the metro. Hail is the main concern with the system.
Tuesday will also feature a storm chance, with heavy rain possible and more severe hail by late evening. The threat is mainly southeast of the metro.
Highs will stay in the 60s through Wednesday, and more rain is likely to return on Thursday. However, there is no storm threat. Friday should dry out after the a.m. hours, and highs will drop into the upper 40s as wind picks up.
The five-day stretch of rain will bring about 1-1.5 inches to the metro, with more southeast and less to the northwest.
The weekend is trending cold, with highs in the lower 30s and upper 40s, and a chance for some non-accumulating rain and snow. Light snow accumulation is possible up north.
