NEXT Weather: Cooler temps for Thanksgiving with some patchy drizzle
MINNEAPOLIS -- Thanksgiving Day will be cooler and cloudier, but another warm-up is just around the bend.
Clouds will increase overnight and become more widespread on Thursday. The high temperature will reach 36 in the Twin Cities -- 11-degrees cooler than Wednesday. The metro could also see some drizzle.
Up north, snowflakes aren't out of the question. There is very little moisture available, so the threat of icing the roads is minimal. But there could be a few slick areas where the temps are coolest.
If you're traveling home on Friday, things again look quiet, with temperatures back to the 40s. Saturday will be even warmer.
Temperatures fall to more seasonal territory on Sunday and stay that way into next week. Snow showers are possible on Tuesday.
