NEXT Weather: Mild and sunny Tuesday, with rain on horizon

NEXT Weather: 10 p.m. report from Oct. 17, 2023

MINNEAPOLIS— Tuesday turned out to be a really nice fall day ahead of another rain system to arrive overnight.

Tuesday's forecasted high was 64 degrees in the Twin Cities, which is a few degrees above average. Winds will blow from the southwest at 5-10 mph.

Clouds will increase overnight as scattered showers move in on Wednesday. The best chance of rain is during the morning commute hours. It will be slightly cooler due to the clouds and rain.

This system may bring around a tenth of an inch of rain with isolated areas picking up more. Northern Minnesota will see larger rain totals.

Showers should move out early Thursday and it will be a bit breezy, according to WCCO meteorologist Chris Shaffer.

There is a chance for patchy showers Friday night and into the weekend. Temps will be in the mid-50s on Saturday and Sunday.
