NEXT Weather: After overnight rain, humid Wednesday could bring severe storms
MINNEAPOLIS -- Some storms in western Minnesota could bring rain in the early morning hours on Wednesday.
Wednesday will then turn hot and humid, with temps nearing 90 degrees. A cold front in the afternoon could bring severe thunderstorms.
It'll be a Next Weather Alert day as storms move in between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. The threats are mostly hail and strong winds. There is a very small possibility for tornadoes.
WCCO Meteorologist Chris Shaffer says there will be gaps in the thunderstorms, and some communities might not see any rain at all. The storms will clear out and become more spotty as the evening goes on.
Then Thursday will cool down and winds will pick up, just in time for the Beyoncé concert at Huntington Bank Stadium.
That then leads into a warm weekend.
