NEXT Weather: Sunny and cooler Thursday, with weekend warmup ahead

MINNEAPOLIS – We'll keep the beautiful sunshine Thursday, but it will actually feel more like winter.

Thursday's high will reach 21 in the Twin Cities, which is about 9-degrees below average for this time of year.

We'll turn things around as soon as Friday. Winds will pick up from the south and draw in milder air, with the high reaching 30 in the metro.

This weekend will be even warmer, with highs in the mid-to-upper 30s. But next week will be another reminder that we are indeed in February, with highs dropping back down into the 20s.

Some flurries are possible on Monday, and some models are showing the possibility of a snow storm coming on Wednesday.
