NEXT Weather: Much improved air quality in Twin Cities Sunday

NEXT Weather: 10 p.m. report from July 16, 2023

MINNEAPOLIS -- After a hazy weekend, air quality in Minnesota is improving.

The extreme corner of southeastern Minnesota and the Rochester area are still in the red category Sunday evening, meaning the air is unhealthy for everyone. Much of far-southern Minnesota, excluding the Twin Cities, is in the yellow category, meaning moderate air quality.

Monday will be sunny and hit the upper 70s in the metro. We'll climb to the mid 80s Tuesday, with highs returning to the mid-to-upper 80s for the rest of the week.

The next best chance for storms is on Wednesday.
