NEXT Weather: Strong storms possible overnight Friday

NEXT Weather: 10 p.m. report from Aug. 10, 2023

MINNEAPOLIS -- Storms move into southwestern Minnesota Thursday evening, and they're sticking around through Friday morning.

It's possible those could turn severe, bringing wind and hail to the area. The threat for severe weather in the Twin Cities is minimal.

Friday will be very humid, with another round of scattered severe storms expected in the afternoon. The tornado chance north of the metro cannot be ruled out, according to WCCO meteorologist Mike Augustyniak.

Saturday looks to be the nicest day in the extended forecast, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower 80s.
