NEXT Weather: Saturday will bring a high of 45 before a St. Patrick's Day Sunday cooldown
MINNEAPOLIS — After a fairly quiet start Friday, with a mix of sun and clouds, high temps will be in the mid-40s come Saturday, and only in the 30s for St. Patrick's Day on Sunday.
Another area of low pressure will approach and drop southward into the Great Lakes from Canada Friday night, but any rain or snow will stay across northern Minnesota.
This will pick up the wind through Saturday with gusts up to 40 mph by the afternoon.
Highs will be closer to average in the mid-40s on Saturday, and only in the 30s for St. Patrick's Day on Sunday. Wind chills will be in the 10s and 20s.
Winds will eventually relax by Monday with temps slow to rebound back into the 50s by Wednesday, with limited chances for additional rain/snow.
