NEXT Weather: Humidity sticks around through Friday, but rainy weekend should provide relief
MINNEAPOLIS -- Friday will still be humid, but highs will drop below 90 degrees.
The weekend looks much cooler, and widespread, steady rain looks likely on both Saturday and Sunday.
"The rain showers take over this weekend. They build in from the west likely arriving in the metro later in the day. Sunday looks quite wet. We really need the rain. The drought update was a bit of a push, but it is still bad. This rain will help," meteorologist Chris Shaffer said.
Both weekend days will also be windy.
Next week looks great. Temperatures will be just below average with low humidity.
