NEXT Weather: Frost advisory overnight up north, lows drop to 40s in metro

NEXT Weather: 10 p.m. report from Sept. 12, 2023

MINNEAPOLIS — A frost advisory has been issued across much of northern Minnesota and northern Wisconsin, where temperatures could fall to the low-30s overnight.

Lows should bottom out in the 40s in the Twin Cities — the coldest since May. There will be some localized dense fog Wednesday morning, primarily in northern Minnesota.

Wednesday will be sunny and warmer with a high near 70. The wind picks up from the south Thursday, and that should boost temps up to around 80 in the metro.

Our next best chance of rain arrives Friday. It doesn't look like much, but we will continue to take what we can get.
