NEXT Weather: Widespread rain, isolated T-storms overnight Monday
MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota closed out the weekend with a much-needed soaking.
Widespread, steady rain moved in Sunday night, and most of it will fall through 2 a.m. Thunderstorms are possible overnight with this system.

The rain will continue through Monday morning before it tapers off northwest to southeast. Expect an inch of rain across central and southern Minnesota, and more than an inch for western Wisconsin.
At about 7 p.m. Sunday, a funnel cloud was spotted near Kinbrae, about 20 miles north of Worthington. A tornado warning was also issued about an hour later in Jackson County in southwestern Minnesota.
Monday's high will top out only in the low 70s, then highs will head back into the upper 80s by Wednesday. Our next chance for storms comes Wednesday evening.
